Glorious movie one of the first so called adult westerns which marked the western genre's philosophical maturity in the 1950s. Shane is the name of a mysterious stranger who rides into the lives of a homesteader family, trying to escape his violent past he finds himself caught up in a battle between the local cattle baron and the homesteader. Exquisitely detailed stately and timeless.
