Not sure if they meant for this film to be subtle, but the result is actually quite boring. This, I think is supposed to be Michael Douglas's pet project on family, but you can't even watch the whole film, let alone care. I saw this six months ago and all I remember is I was as bored as hell, and the only scene I recall is a fight at a dinner table. Lots of impact, heh?
