The 25th anniversary edition of a beloved classic

Over a million young readers have enjoyed the wheels that go round, doors that open and shut, and people who go bumpety-bump. Today it remains as fresh and engaging as when it was first published twenty five years ago.

To celebrate the anniversary, Paul O. Zelinsky has created an all-new cover featuring twenty five, hidden 25s. Some are the number 25 and others are 25 of something in the picture. Can you find them all?

Paul Zelinsky was born in Evanston, Illinois. He attended Yale University, where he took a course with Maurice Sendak, which later inspired him to pursue a career in children's books. Afterwards he received a graduate degree in painting from Tyler School of Art, in Philadelphia and Rome. Paul Zelinsky lives in New York with his wife, Deborah.

This is such an awesome book. It is a classic favourite for all kids, but it has the added fun of flaps to lift, tags to pull & wheels to turn. My 3 yr son is absolutely addicted to this book & sings away while playing with the tabs. He loves the windscreen wipers page most of all & will spend ages playing with it.

Wonderful book for preschoolers! Familiar song with fun activities on each page. More sturdy than I expected.

This is a FANTASTIC book. I love snuggling up with my daughter and reading it. She loves moving the wheels, opening the doors etc. The tabs are a bit tight/ tough to use but I think its just that it is new. I am so glad they have released it again. I know this book from years ago and am just glad I can share it with my daughter.

I love this book and so do all the children at my centre. Fantastic book to use during mat-times with pre-schoolers. Because the book has moveable parts, it holds children's attention and encourages them to be interactive.
