Beginning his career in animation working on such films as The Iron
Giant, Anastasia and Titan A.E., Rick Remender has become a
comic-book triple threat - writing, penciling and inking numerous
fan-favorite series. Remender served as writer on hit video games
Dead Space and Bulletstorm, while providing art for punk/metal
bands like NOFX and 3 Inches of Blood. He's co-created many popular
independent titles, including the critically acclaimed Fear Agent
with longtime collaborators Tony Moore and Jerome Opena. His time
at Marvel started on Punisher, and has since led to well-received
runs on Uncanny X-Force, Venom, Captain America and Uncanny
Avengers. Remender made headlines by promoting Sam Wilson, the
Falcon, to full-fledged shield-slinger in All-New Captain
America.
Writer Cullen Bunn first worked in comics with artist Brian Hurtt
on Oni Press's The Damned and its follow-up, The Damned- Prodigal
Sons, as well as The Sixth Gun. Now one of Marvel's leading
talents, he has co-written Captain America with Ed Brubaker and
Venom with Rick Remender, whom he later succeeded as writer, and
assembled the fan-favorite, all-female Fearless Defenders. Bunn
launched Magneto into his own series for All-New Marvel NOW!, then
made him the star of a darker-than-ever Uncanny X-Men roster. Bunn
has joined the ranks of iconic Deadpool writers with a diverse
range of limited series featuring the Merc with a Mouth and the
ongoing Deadpool & the Mercs for Money.
Christopher Yost got his start in animation writing for the series
X-Men- Evolution; he quickly worked his way up to head writer of
shows like Fantastic Four- World's Greatest Heroes, Iron Man-
Armored Adventures and Avengers- Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and the
animated DVDs Hulk Vs. and Next Avengers. Yost broke into comics
with his work on X-23 and is known for hard-hitting series like New
X-Men, X-Force and the runaway hit Scarlet Spider.
Artist Kev Walker cut his teeth on the venerable British comics
magazine 2000 AD, eventually moving on to the publisher's flagship
character Judge Dredd and other popular series. After illustrating
Annihilation- Nova, Walker teamed with writer Fred Van Lente on
Marvel Zombies 3 and 4. He also drew Thunderbolts before joining
Dennis "Hopeless" Hallum in pitting Marvel's youngest heroes
against one another in the kill-or-be-killed Avengers Arena, as
well as the follow-up Avengers Undercover. Walker has worked on
numerous other Avengers titles, the Star Wars series Doctor Aphra
and the latest volume of Dr. Strange.
Lan Medina has illustrated District X and its House of M spin-off
Mutopia X, Silver Surfer, Venom, Cable & Deadpool, Deathlok and
Storm for Marvel. He drew the Alpha and Omega issues of the Minimum
Carnage crossover between Scarlet Spider and Venom; the limited
series Iron Man- Rapture; and both an adaptation of the movie Thor
and a prelude to its sequel, Thor- The Dark World. He also has
extensive experience with the MAX imprint, including on Foolkiller
and Garth Ennis' The Punisher. Medina was also the first Filipino
artist to win the prestigious Eisner Award for his work on
DC/Vertigo's Fables. Other notable works include Aria, Stone and
American Flagg.
Artist Declan Shalvey cut his teeth in the U.K. small-press scene
and soon gained mainstream attention for his work on 28 Days Later.
Shortly afterward, he made his Marvel debut on Thunderbolts with
writer Jeff Parker, followed by well-loved arcs on both Venom and
Deadpool. He went on to illustrate the critically acclaimed Moon
Knight relaunch with writer Warren Ellis; the pair again
collaborated on the creator-owned Injection for Image Comics.
Shalvey resides in his native Ireland.
