After twenty-one years as an active educator, Lois W. Stern
continued to pursue her love of writing, soon becoming co-editor of
a popular Long Island web-zine, LI Eye. As she created and authored
her column, 'Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives', she solidified
her special niche of investigative journalism, and put those same
talents to work while writing Sex, Lies and Cosmetic Surgery, a
book for which she interviewed over 100 woman. She followed up with
her second book, Tick, Tock, Stop the Clock. - Getting Pretty on
Your Lunch Hour to address many of the less invasive paths to
beauty. "Tales2Inspire began a whole new chapter in my life.
Another story for another time," says Stern
Stern initiated Tales2Inspire(R) in 2012, never dreaming it would
grow in such strength and numbers as it has. She works with a
passion to deliver exactly what she envisioned: an 'Authors Helping
Authors' project and a contest all in one. She is thrilled to be
able to help talented writers build stronger author platforms, and
continually strives to find new and innovative ways to strengthen
their opportunities for discovery. Tales2Inspire(R) has opened a
whole new chapter in her life, and hopefully in the lives of her
winners. It also has provided her with the opportunity to
continually pursue her passion for writing. Lois claims that she
simply can't resist putting pen to paper when she learns of an
inspiring story, and submits each one to be judged anonymously just
like all the other stories submitted to Tales2Inspire. She
carefully considers the critiques of her fellow authors, and has no
doubt that their input has helped her perfect her writing skills,
just as she seeks to perfect the skills of other writers. Watch
