A renowned social psychologist, Professor Emeritus at Stanford University and former director of the Stanford Shyness Clinic, Phil Zimbardo is a teaching professor at Palo Alto University. His research interests are in experimental social psychology, with an emphasis on time perspective, persuasion, violence, political psychology and terrorism. He is also the founder of the Heroic Imagination Project, a nonprofit research and education organization dedicated to promoting heroism in everyday life. Shirley L. Radl was a journalist and author before her death in 1991.
