About the Author

Ian Rankin was born in the Kingdom of Fife in 1960. In 1997 he was awarded the CWA Gold Dagger for BLACK AND BLUE. His subsequent Rebus novels have all been international bestsellers. In 2005 he won Crime Thriller of the Year at the British Book Awards for Fleshmarket Close, and was also awarded the prestigious CWA Diamond Dagger. Ian Rankin lives with his wife and two sons in Edinburgh, and has received an OBE for his services to literature. Ian Rankin was born in the Kingdom of Fife in 1960.
