He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Management with a minor in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University. He is an attorney and has obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Nova Southeastern University. He is a graduate of the United States Army's Basic Leadership Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, and Basic Non-Commissioned Officers' Course. He is also a graduate of Broward County Sheriff's Office's Supervisory Leadership Course. He is certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as an instructor. Jonathan May, Esq. is communications professor and attorney. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Speech Communication at the University of Illinois, a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies at the University of Miami and a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Nova Southeastern University.
