In this latest follow-up to the critically acclaimed Over and Under series (Over and Under the Snow, Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt, Over and Under the Pond), the award-winning author and illustrator team of Kate Messner and Christopher Silas Neal takes readers on a tour of one of the world's most diverse ecosystems: the Costa Rican rainforest. Under the canopy of the rainforest, hundreds of animals make their homes – from the slender parrot snake to the blue morpho butterfly. But up in the leaves hides another world, where toucans and pale- billed woodpeckers chatter and call, capuchin monkeys swing from vines, and slow-moving sloths wait out daily thunderstorms. Discover the wonder that lies hidden among the roots, above the winding rivers, and under the emerald leaves of the rainforest.
