A special moment for me when an older male cleaner with a Scottish accent came in and, sensing my upset, recited gentle, loving poetry, because he said I looked like I needed it. He didn't know that I sobbed for half an hour after he left, and it was exactly what I needed. He was an awesome example of the way in which all staff demonstrated empathy and compassion.

Dear Jim, My Mum, Catherine Denton, passed away peacefully on Friday, 27th April, 2018, a little after 9am. I would like you to know that the last 15 or so minutes of Mom's life were even more perfect than I could have ever hoped. Amongst the things that made is so, was your kind and unexpected visit. The humble and respectful way you shared your beautiful poetry with us was a precious gift.
