About the Author

Ashley Fiolek is the premier female motocross racer in the world. She writes a monthly column, "Silence," in Transworld magazine and has been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, ESPN: The Magazine, and other publications. Fiolek lives in Jacksonville, Florida, but travels the world to compete.

Caroline Ryder has written for the Los Angeles Times, Paper, and Dazed and Confused, and lives in Los Angeles.
