This book goes into great detail of the history of modern thought and invention. It's very detailed but can also be a bit dry in the retelling. I got this book as a prompt for novel writing, and it certainly gives you food for thought and can inspire many scenarios for those who stick with it. Overall, a good reference for those looking for historical inspiration.
