Jared Lobdell (b. 1937) has written widely in American History, Literary Criticism (especially Tolkien and C S Lewis and the Inklings), Alcoholism and Addiction, Economics and Politics, besides some fiction and a little poetry. He has taught at a number of collegiate institutions, but is currently an Independent Scholar residing with his wife in Elizabethtown PA (and a cat, One-o'-Cat: he also writes on baseball history).
