When Amy arrives home for her birthday tea, her parents have vanished and in their place is a baby she's never seen before. At around the same time Sprocket wakes up naked on a deserted mountainside and realises that he has lost his memory. Both kids set out on journeys to find the people they belong to, little knowing that they will soon join forces and embark, with the baby, on the deadliest quest of their lives. Morris Gleitzman writes Amy's story and Paul Jennings Sprocket's, with each of them contributing alternate chapters.

When Amy arrives home for her birthday tea, her parents have vanished and in their place is a baby she's never seen before. At around the same time, Sprocket wakes up naked on a deserted mountainside and realises he has lost his memory. Another imaginative Gleitzman/Jennings collaboration following the huge success of Wicked!

i love these books the are exiting interesting and just all round funny. i am currently working on book 3 (stiff) but even only reading the 2 and a half books i am really enjoining them because they have that creativity and exitment that you just dont want to put it down. this is one of those books that have you siting on the edge of your seat. i mean it like really makes you feel like you are watching a movie, a movie that you never want to end. i recken it is a fantastic buy because i got mine from a shop and it cost me $20-$25 for mine so if i didn't already have mine i would of brought it in 10 seconds flat because it is such a great book. trust me you will love it. Have fun reading, Stephanie McKenzie xxxooo
