George Seber is a retired professor of statistics from the University of Auckland and a Fellow of the Royal Society of NZ. A counsellor of 17 years' practice.Author of 19 books on statistics and counselling.
Although I have read a number of such books in the past, I found Seber's take on it lucid, helpful and even surprising for its depth. It has two particular advantages that appealed to me. Firstly, it is up to date and sensible in that it does not assume any particular set of beliefs. Secondly, it deals with the New Zealand setting, giving clear and practical advice. -Bill Peddie
