About the Author

Hunter Davies is the author of over 30 books, many of them world bestsellers, such as his authorised biography of the Beaties. He has also written six books about football, including The Glory Game, now considered one of the classics of British football writing, which has been published in several European countries and is still in print today in the USA and UK. As a journalist, he contributes to The Sunday Times and writes a weekly football column in the New Statesman. He is an avid collector of football memorabilia and has amassed an impressive collection.
