About the Author

The writer is a university and schools coach and Halls of Fame martial artist. He is Keeper of styles in two martial arts and one is being submitted as a doctorate. He has also been active in track events, mountain climbing, swimming, walking, rugby, rowing and weight-training. He knows from years of experience, and trips abroad to train, the essence of what athletes contend with in the physical, menatal, emotional and spiritual fields. He owns a homeopathy, psychology and chikung practice, also has a theology major and is fascinated wit the Taoist arts. Eight years in the commandos fuelled his interest in hoplology (the study of combative systems), and holistic systems. Out of these experiences grew intrigue with healing the body, and the emotional/spiritual disorders which impede performance.
