"An encyclopaedic deep dive into Australian films released in 2021. It was an extraordinary year that saw Australian audiences flocking to see Australian stories, while US studios held back the release of blockbusters due to COVID. A fascinating and precious glimpse of what an Australian National Cinema might look like. In the words of Erin Roche, who won The Australian Academy Award for Costume Design, "...I am from the oldest living continuous community of artists in the world ... the only way we can can find ourselves as a country is to tell our stories and to see our stories." This is an essential record of a crucial year in Australian film history." - Michael Bentham, Writer/Director of Disclosure
