Promotional Information

C.C. Humphreys is becoming one of the most admired historical writers around. He is getting better with every novel - he now combines the best of Bernard Cornwall, Allan Mallinson and Philippa Gregory His sales are increasing with each novel, and he is receiving more and more excellent reviews: 'Jack escapes death more often than James Bond in his attempt to find the traitor in the King's ranks. There is some authentic historical detail in Jack Absolute as the background to an exciting romp' Sunday Telegraph. 'An exciting page-turner whose central character is portrayed in brilliant detail ... Sharpe in all his many battles would be no match for young Absolute ... riveting' New Books. 'Unlike most historical fiction, this book tries to do more than merely satisfy a Boy's Own appetite for vice and violence ... this is thrilling, funny, well-researched and at times painfully poignant' Independent on Sunday.
